Autocomplete of CURRENT Month/Day/Year has
been 'misbehaving'. For some reason it DID work
temporarily and then stopped working again. I'm running
WIN XP PRO. I create many training certificates
requiring the current date.
------------------------------------------
I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS (per HELP file)
Type the first four characters of the current date.
For example, type febr for February. Microsoft Word
displays the current month: "February."
Press ENTER to insert the month, and then type a space.
Word displays the current date - for example, "February
13, 2002" or "13 February 2002."
Press ENTER to insert the entire date.
---------------------------------------------
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS INSTEAD:
If I key "Augu" + "enter" + "space" + "enter" the cursor
advances to the next line after fully spelling "August".
This is where the problem is noticed.
Entering 4 char. of month gives me the message to
press "enter".
Pressing "enter" puts the full month's spelling on the
screen.
TYPING A SPACE does "not" give me the msg. to hit 'enter'
in order to automatically add the day and year.
THINGS TRIED:
* I've started Word with /A switch. - Still won't work.
* Renamed Normal.dot
* Detect & Repair
* Reloaded Word 2002
* My computer's date is correct.
* Typing FULL month "August" followed by a "spacebar" and
the "first digit" of the numeric date, WILL complete the
entire date properly.
Help would be appreciated!
