AutoCorrect DRIVING ME CRAZY

I use autocorrect all the time. However, this morning, suddenly all
my arrow "corrections" turned into little circles with different
numbers in them. If I open up AutoCorrect, when I click on the entry
that makes my arrows, they have all been transformed into these little
circles with numbers in them. What went suddenly wrong?

Did you change fonts? Does this happen with all fonts? Do they also print
out wrong?
Are these built-in AutoCorrect entries or did you create them yourself?

If you regularly back up your Preferences folder, you could swap the file
that holds the autocorrect entries for an older version, in case it has
corrupted.
