AutoCorrect Error (bizarre)

hello,
after trying everything in my imagination, i'm finally turning to you in a
last approach to solve this mistery.
word 2000 replaces (autocorrects on the fly) "f" "j" and "m" with a word
which is enlisted for another autocorrect entry (let's say, it replaces it
with "xyz") - the bizarre thing about this is, there are NO entries
whatsoever for "f" "j" or "m". even if i try to map "f" -> autocorrect to ->
"f", the error stays.

- i also tried to switch the default languages but to no avail
- worked through all possible options, looked at autotext, has nothing to do
with it

i don't know any further, does someone of you have an idea, what's going on
here?

thank you so much in advance
greetings, lucky

hello,
i'm kind of baffled...

i managed to track the error down: whenever i enter an autocorrect
entry from "en" to [something], i also get "f", "j" and "m" replaced
with [something]... but only, if the entry was saved with format, if i
enter an "en" entry with plaintext replace, there is no error at all.

is there anybody who can explain this to me?

or can anyone reproduce the above mentioned behaviour?
(this is word 2000 9.0.28.12 german)

thanks in advance,
luckyfin

First, eliminate third party add-ins and macros by starting Word in Safe
Mode and testing again. To do this use File, Run and type in

winword /a

and press enter. Word now opens in its default install mode bypassing any
customisations or third party add-ins. Test now.
