So, I have several computers running MS - and Entourage then. I want to export my AutoCorrect file I have setup with much customization on my desktop to my laptop. Is this even possible? I spent all of the time in Entourage setting up that ability, and do not want to try to replicate it on my laptop.

Is your desktop and laptop both Mac? if yes then copy the custom dictionary
from your desktop and replace it on your laptop.

Location of your custom dictionary:
user/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Custom Dictionary

thanks,
Pawan

yes, they are same (both Mac). I was going to copy the Dictionary today BUT does that actually contain the AutoCorrect data? I do not think so.

you can open that Dictionary with TextEdit and it only has dictionary entries. So, not sure how that has AutoCorrect entries as well????

Yes this file contain autocorrect data. Add 1 new word and check on you own.
You can open the file in Text Edit.

well yes.. adding a word will add it to this Custom Dictionary. for sure.

BUT, add an auto correct entry, and nothing is added to this Custom Dictionary.

So, if I add a word to the Custom Dictionary, then open that dictionary I certainly see that word BUT you only see words you have added. I have dozens of Auto Correct words and even phrases - like I just added 'doen' becomes 'done' or if I put in '112' it spells out my entire address - and these Auto Correct entries are not seen in the Custom Dictionary file. So, I am just curious, if you open that dictionary and clearly see dictionary entries, where exactly are the Auto Correct entries in that file? How are you surmising they are there as they clearly are not listed there? I do not see them, but I see them all in Entourage when I look at my Auto Correct settings window.

I want to export my AutoCorrect file

I just ran a test and it appears this is not a preference file. Entourage
stores some preferences in the database file. It looks like this is one of
them.

You will need to use the same Identity on each computer to get your stored
auto corrects. There will be no way to sync them. I suggest you look at
SpellCatcherX, TypeIt4Me or Typinator that work in all applications and you
can easily see your corrections.

How I tested.

Created a new User in System Preferences.
Selected my ~/Library/Preferences folder and sorted by modified.
Launched Entourage and added a new Auto Correct entry.
Checked preferences and there was no change in last modified.
