In Word 2003, I could use autocorrect to correct a numeral followed by
letters into a numeral followed by a symbol. I frequently quote temperatures
in my work, so I used to use (say) 24CCC (no space between 24 and CCC) where
CCC was set up in autocorrect to ° (alt-248), thus typing 24CCC would
generate 24°C when the space bar was pressed after the entry.
In Word 2007, autocorrect does not seem to react if the autocorrect entry is
immediately preceded by a numeral - so 24CCC stays as just that. To get 24°C
I have to type 24<space>CCC. Is there a way I can get it to work as it did in
W2003? It's a pain to have to type the space then go back to delete it every
time - it worked just fine the way it was before!
