Autocorrect mishandles e-mail addresses in MS Word

On the subject of autocorrecting, when I type a "@" after my name as it
appears in my e-mail address, the autocorrect feature changes my userid to
something else -- in fact something that I find distasteful!
(sloughin@->sloughing@) The autocorrector should probably be changed to treat
"@" like a number, so that if we turn off spell check for words including
numbers, we don't get a program second-guessing (and messing up) the spelling
of our e-mail addresses.

Thanks for listening!

Not sure how they'd go about getting that done, but in the meantime there
are at least 2 options to circumvent the frustrating behavior;

1- Delete the entry from the AutoCorrect list... I doubt you really use the
word that frequently, so you probably won't miss it. As long as you don't
add 'slaughin' to the dictionary the spell checker will still catch the
misspelling, but if that isn't acceptable,

2- Create an AutoText item for your email address, simply name it slou. Then
you can just type those 4 letters, press enter to both avoid the correction
and save some keystrokes.
