autocorrect recovery

I am using Word 2002.

I had to wipe out and reinstall everything on my hard drive because of a
worm. I've restored Word but have not been able to recover my autocorrect
entries. I have backups (on an external drive) of my old documents and
program files. I tried copying over my old Normal.dot file to my C drive but
that didn't work. How can I recover my autocorrect entries from my backup?
I would even settle for being able to print them out. Please help! Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

I actually already tried this and it worked great. Unfortunately, it just
exported the default entries from the new setup of Word. What I need to do
is to, in some way, load up the entries from my backups and export them.

Daiya,

I went back and tried method number 2 -- it worked great, almost. Lost my
formatting but got back my entries. Thanks again for your help.

In this case just copying the appropriate .acl file in place of the new one
would probably do the trick, assuming that the folder structure has not
changed.
