I am using Word 2002, and am having a problem with Autocorrect. it stops
working- stops automatically correcting - after a certain amount of text is
typed. I use it as a shortcut, such as by typing "dt" to trigger Word to
type "date." It is not clear to me if it stops working after a certain
number of lines, or a certain number of keystrokes, or what, but it stops
working. If I move the curser back to the top of the document, then it will
work again- but this workaround is not helpful as then I have to cut and
paste the resulting text. I don't know if this matters, but some of the
"corrections" that I have programmed into Autocorrect are short phrases. I
used the same process with Word 2000, and it worked fine. The problem
started as soon as I changed to Word 2002. I obviously have put up with it
for a long time- but now hope to get help with fixing the problem.
