Autocorrect weirdness in word

H

Hello,

In word I have noticed a weird autocorrect behavior,I started writing a
list in word with bulleted items, something like the following:

Here is my list:

.. pick up jeff from school
.........
......
.....
.. jim's b'day

The first word in the first item "pick" was changed to "Pick" I decided
to stop auto capitalization by clicking on the blue underline smart
button that is displayed and choosed "Stop auto capitalizing" then I
typed few more items and realized I want to start auto capitalizing
again, hence I went to Tools-Autocorrect and checked the "Capitalize
first word in a sentence" option. Then I typed "jim's b'day", the word
"jim" did not get auto capitalize even though I had switched on the
option in autocorrect. Has anybody else seen this??? Later in the
document it suddenly started autocapitalzing.....

thanks

No, I have not seen this one specifically, but I know there arre some
frustrating "strangenesses" in AutoCapitalise.

The most irritating is that you can turn off AutoCapitalise in Tables. If
you do, you can't turn it back on again!

In your case, I would suspect the presence of a hidden character that makes
Word thing that Jim did not start a sentence this time around.

But it's only a guess.
