AutoCorrect

Suddenly, AutoCorrect started correcting before I hit the spacebar,
inmediately after I type the letter or combination of letters that are set to
be replaced by an extension.

Are you adding punctuation? AutoCorrect fires on a space or punctuation
mark.

Hello, Suzanne

I can´t make it to enter any punctuation, the automatic correction happens
when I hit the letter or combination of letters, no time for punctuation or
space...

I opened Word with winword.exe /a, and it seems to work for new documents,
but I have the feeling something deeper is going on, the old document can´t
be fixed even by copying and pasting into a new document.

Anyway, it will work for future jobs. Thanks!

Since AutoCorrect is language-dependent, make sure that the correct language
is applied to text.

Winword /a starts Word in Safe Mode: basically this is Word in its default
install mode bypassing all macros, add-ins, templates, customizations, etc.
This indicates that there is nothing wrong with Word but there is an add-in
causing the problem. I suggest that you first eliminate a normal.dot problem
by renaming it as normal.bad, which will let you recover anything important
from it later once the problem has been isolated.

If the problem persists with a new normal.dot, then check for third party
add-ins and macros. You'll find macros listed under Tools, Macros. For
add-ins, see How to find add-ins:
