autocorrecting spelling

it looks like I have to build the dictionary, though, right? Seems like Word
picks up much more than ON does. Is that by design (notes are supposed to be
able to be more "off") or by flaw?

I'm not aware of any design decision there; as far as I know it should be
the same list that is in Word. Mine has an awfully extensive list of
autocorrect items and I didn't add many/any to it. Is it possible that
yours was somehow altered?

I would have no idea of how to alter it, since I just found out about it in
this thread. And I just installed, so don't know what would have changed it.

How many entries are in yours? Mine is so long it would take 30-45
seconds to scroll down the whole list.

well it took me quickly dragging the scroll about 3 seconds. And there're
300 entries. Not a long list.

I am not an expert on this, but I do know that we do not match all of the
Auto-Correct features that Word has. Turns out Word is a lot more complex
than us and has had more time to get this right! :) I'd like to see us
improve in this area as well.

Well, I don't know what happened there. OneNote's AutoCorrect has always
more or less corrected what I expected it to.
