Autodiscovery

Is network autodiscovery available in the professional
version? If so, how is it used to autodiscover network
devices?

Network AutoDiscovery was offered in Visio Enterprise (versions 5, 2000)
and in the Visio Enterprise Network Tools add-on to Visio Professional 2002.

Unfortunately, none of these products is still available from Microsoft.

That is most unfortunate. Why would Microsoft discontinue
such a valuable functionality?

I agree. Most unfortunate. But perhaps you can purchase a copy on EBay.

Usually such products are discontinued 'cause they don't sell well.
