Autofill as you type

I have noticed in Outlook (Using Word as my editor) that some words like the
day of the week, closings like "Yours Truely", my company name or even my own
name that I only have to type a few letters and Word will suggest the word I
am looking for and finish it by hitting enter. How do I add commonly used
words to this list. It's a great feature that I would like to use more often.

Insert, AutoText, New. You can use Alt+F3. Select the Text you wish to have
as a new entry, Alt+F3, enter a unique name, enter, that is it.
Be aware that these entries are saved in your Normal.dot.
If you want the entry to have a specific format, include in the selection
the Paragraph Mark, if left out no formatting will be assigned and when the
entry is used it is assigned the style of where the cursor is.
The can be used for complex items as well; such as Tables, Headers/Footers
(i.e. for landscape orientation), Table/Figure Captions; not just simple
words.
This is for 2003 and prior, maybe different for 2007.

I have a semi related question, I have in the past seen when typing a form
letter an auto fill that will allow me to type the recipants name in the
address line and it auto fills it in the greeting, however, I've yet to find
the formula for inserting this into a document. Any help?

I also have a related question. Is there a way that a long list of words can
be entered into autotext, except with each word a separate entry? I have a
long list of words that I would like to enter into autotext and such a
feature would expedite the process

I have a solution for Word 2003 or earlier. It doesn't work in Word 2007.

Download the AutoTextLoader template from http://jay-freedman.info and unzip
it into your User Templates folder. Use the File > New command to create a
document based on the template. The document contains instructions for
making a two-column table containing the AutoText entries you want to add.
When the table is ready, click the button on the floating toolbar and follow
the instructions in the resulting dialog.
