autofill down won't work!!!!

I have input data in columns A through D and then formulas in columns E
through H that calculate off the data in columns A to D. For the formulas, I
just double click the bottom right hand corner of the cell box and it
autofills down. The next time I enter data in columns A through D, the
formulas in columns E through H automatically calculate for me. EXCEPT one
formula, it will not autofill, I have to double click the bottom right corner
of the cell above for this formula to calculate in the present row. The
formula is very simple too, it is just a cumulative profit. So if profits
are in column G, and column H is cumulative, and the formula to be filled is
in cell H33, it would just be H32+G33. Why is this one formula not
autofilling????

Tools > Options > Calculation > Automatic

Press F9 Calculates formulas that have changed since the last calculation,
and formulas dependent on them, in all open workbooks. If a workbook is set
for automatic calculation, you do not need to press F9 for calculation.

Press SHIFT+F9 Calculates formulas that have changed since the last
calculation, and formulas dependent on them, in the active worksheet.

Press CTRL+ALT+F9 Calculates all formulas in all open workbooks, regardless
of whether they have changed since last time or not.

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+F9 Rechecks dependent formulas, and then calculates all
formulas in all open workbooks, regardless of whether they have changed since
last time or not.

I am already set to automatic calculations. This isnt about refreshing
calculations or any changes to formulas. Its simply about autofilling down.

Then I don't know. It's standard Excel behavior to double-click the small
black cross and, assuming you don't have a space, the data will fill-down.

Very bizarre. Maybe down it, wait a couple minutes, and reboot and try it
again. I've seen some weird things before. Maybe Excel is somehow
mismanaging system memory.
