Autofill entries keep getting cleared

I have had a few users complain that their autofill for the "To.." field gets
wiped clean every so often. I have not kept track of how long passes before
this happens. The users are running Windows XP Pro with Office 2003. Any
clues on why this happens... user error, outlook clearing out it's autofill
automatically??

If I know that my users have no clue where the .nk2 file is located, then it
must come from corrupting it. I am assuming then that Outlook doesn't
automatically clear this, correct?

Correct. on the other hand what kind of cleanup or privacy software
might be running?

No, Outlook doesn't delete it. The other thing that could have happened is
if their outlook profile name is different the the name of the .nk2 file, it
wont read it. the name of the profile and of the .nk2 file must match.

Did they re-setup their outlook profiles? if so, you can just rename the
..nk2 file to match whatever it is while outlook is closed, then they should
be ok.

To my knowledge, there is no cleanup software on the machine. But I will
check that when I look into it.

I do not believe they reset the profile. I could be wrong, so will have to

no problem. .nk2 files, not much to them. just make sure the name of them
matches the name of the outlook profile, and you should be all set.
