Autofilter doesn't work

When I choose an item in an autofilter dropdown, nothing happens. E.g., if
I choose "non-blanks", or "top ten" I've used this feature successfully in
other spread sheets. Does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? Sort
works OK.
