Autofit content of Comments box

Is there a way to have Excel automatically adjust the size of a comment box
as you type or after you type so that it autofits to the text typed? I have
to manually drag the comment borders each time. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes, but it's rather rudamentary!
Right click on the border of the comment, not the cell, and choose Format
Comments, on the Alignment tab turn on Automatic size.

If you want your text on multiple lines you will need to press enter
otherwise you get rather wide comments.

I agree, Arlene, Microsoft should have allowed the user to select automatic
width, height, or both. In each case, the unselected option would remain
fixed, just as the user anticipated. For example, the user could fix the
width, but Excel would expand the length to fit the comment.
