Autoformat fraction 1/3

Is it possible for Microsoft Office Word 2003 to autoformat the fraction
number one-third (1/3)? Currently, the autoformat only appears to work for
1/2, 1/4.

Hi Cristin -

What you are seeing is that Word AutoCorrects the typed keystrokes of
1/2 and changes it to the half symbol. You can do that with any of the
fraction symbols which are available in the symbols dialog box. Select
the symbol and then click the AutoCorrect button and type the text that
you want switched.

Unfortunately not all of the fractions are available as symbols. If that
is the case, then you can follow these directions to create your own
"symbol".

Hi cristin,
Autoformat works only on 1/2, 1/4 and 3/4. I hope i'm mistaken. But if you
wish 1/3 to appear the same as 1/2 and other fractions. Try this: highlight
1/3 then press "Ctrl" then the "+". I guess it will work!
