Autoformat table doesn't format font's

Mario

Hi,

I am using Word 2003

At the risk that i am asking a newbie question here, i stick my head in the
sand and ask it anyway :)

I created a custom table style with font's etc. whenever i apply the
autoformat everything is formatted ok. except the font name en size.
(underline, bold ,colors borders etc is applied succesfully). Why is that?
and is there a workaround.

I noticed in previous word versions there was a checkbox for Apply format to
Font. i can't find it in word 2003. (And if it were would it be of any use?)

TIA

No such thing as a stupid question when it comes to computers.

try this
highlight all table -> table -> autoformat -> pick wanted format -> modify (or edit

that should let you change the font & might make it stay. Just make sure you highlight your whole tabl

hi mparks.

thanx for the reply.

I found the problem though it is annoying. your sollution works but only if
you havn't changed the Normal paragraph style.

try this.

set the normal paragraph style to something like Ariel 10.

Now create a table style and set it to some other font (comic sans 20). when
you apply the table style you will see that the font in your table doesn't
change.

now revert the normal paragraph style back to it's original times new roman
12.

Immediatly you will see your table change.

Weird. I would love to have a workaround. Obviously the customer can set
it's normal style to the default, but i would like another sollution. (Even
if it would involve VB)
