Autoformats in Excel 2002

Dear All,

I am new to excel 2002 and would like to know if it is possible to modify or
create autoformats for pivot tales so that I can effectively use the old
ones from excel 97 in my vba code.

Can anyone help?

You can't add to the AutoFormat list that appears when you're formatting
a pivot table, or modify the existing formats.

However, you can use the following workaround:

Select a cell in a regular table in the workbook
(e.g. the pivot table data source)
Choose Format>AutoFormat
Select the formatting you want on the pivot table
Click OK

Select a cell in the pivot table
Press the F4 key, to repeat the previous formatting

You can then go back to the regular table, and set its AutoFormat to None
