This is an expansion of the subject "chm Help File on Acc2002 under Vista"
which I haven't been able to get an answer to. That topic complained (and
was ignored) that I can't get Access 2002 under Vista to answer a call to
present a help topic from a .chm help file.
I have modified the MS code which was supposed to fix that problem, which
defined a HelpEntry function to lookup the active form and its
HelpComponentID when activated by a Macro named {F1} with Action "RunCode"
pointing to HelpEntry(). I now have to use a command button (btnHelp) to
trigger HelpEntry() because the F1 doesn't trigger HelpEntry. This means
that I have to put a btnHelp on every damn form in my program.
Question: Why the hell doesn't Access get the word that I have punched the
F1 key until I am blue in the face? Is this another of the many advantages
of Vista?
I'm Disgusted!
