Automarking messages as read

I use SPAMBAYES to filter spam - works brilliantly.

The only problem now is that when the spam is filtered to the SPAM folder -
it still shows in
the SPAM folder as new unread mail.

There doesn't seem to be a RULE that can mark a message as being read even
though it has not REALLY been read.

Is there a programmatic way of doing this? Perhaps some VB code/macro that
canmark
messages as read if they are moved to the SPAM folder or DELETED folder.
