Tripti,

generally it is possible to automate the import of the RBS but it requires
custom develepment. Project Server consist of a PSI ( Project Server
Interface) which is a Web service that can be utilised to develop your
requirements. I would suggest to check out the Project Server SDK which can
be found on the Microsoft page, but above all I would recommend including a
Microsoft Partner that specilises on EPM. They are able to give you dettailed
advice.
I hope this points you into the right direction

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will try and see if it works. I had consulted
2-3 partners of Microsoft but they said that its not possible and cannot be
worked out.
So if you happen to know some specific one and if they can only give me some
idea, i will try.

Thansk again.

Tripti:

Make sure that you talk to Microsoft partners with the EPM specialty
certification. This is a common request and not something that anyone can
give you a simple answer. The generally accepted approach is to build a
system that completely rebuilds the RBS and then assigns the values to the
resources. Have you looked at the Project Server SDK? There's an example of
writing a custom AD sync routine in the SDK. If you have further development
questions, you should ask them in the developer's newsgroup.

Gary is spot on Tripti, it is certainly possible. Make sure to find an
Microsoft EPM Partner. They should be able to help you. Not knowing where you
are located, check out Gary's web page, there is actually a business card
section that gives you great contacts of EPM professionals and partners
Hope this helps
