Access must be running to generate a report. You can open Access with a
command line argument to run a macro. The macro can run a report that has
=Date() in its criteria. To automate the running of Access, I have used the
Scheduler program found at http://www.mvps.org/access/resources/downloads.htm.
You could use our report server and have access running on a web server
and have a user using a browser click a link to run the report and get a PDF
file back all through a web browser over the company Intranet.
