Automated file listings?

I have a folder a large number of .pdf files. A new file
is added each to this folder each week.

Is there an easy way to create an index that lists all the
files by name without having to manually edit add the new
file name to the index each week?

Even a feature like the picture gallary would be a step up
from what I a doing now, but this only works with images.

My ISP is not running sharepoint.

Can you use folder view??
If so, link to the folder instead of a file in the folder
and the list of files will show.
