Hi all
Is there a way of using a batch file to determine whether Windows Installer
(msiexec) is
installed, and if it isnt, install it silently then continue to install
Office 2000 from a
adminastrative point?
I'm creating a script that installs Office 2000 but I cant use the msiexec
command without
program being installed first, and if you have to do it manually, it defeats
the point of having
scripts methinks
The Win98SE clients are the problem here as msi isnt there by default. I
have instmsi.exe,
instmsiw.exe and instmsia.exe but dont know what the differences are and how
to get a
script to choose between versions depending on the OS. Any thoughts on all
this?
Many thanks,
Nathan
