Automated online update ...

The online update fails at 40%. I've had this problem
for some time. I just thought that I would give it
another try to see if anyone out there has a sol'n yet.

p. s: I have just completely uninstalled Office and
reinstalled it again ....No Joy ......

Hi Godfrey,

Which version of Office are you using and what update
are you installing?

What version of Windows, IE and MSIExec.exe are in use?

Have you cleared your temporary Internet Cache files
in your browser?

Did you shut down or bypass your antivirus, firewall blocks
and or 'internet security' packages when visiting the
site?

I am having the sam problem. My Windows XP Pro automatic
update is working fine, but the Office XP Pro update gets
to 40% and quits. Have you had any luck with a fix?
Help!
