Automated Resource Availability

My company uses outlook calendars for scheduling. Is there a way I can use a
individuals outlook calendar to fill their resource availibility in project
server.

for instantance if an appointment is made in outlook then that change is
reflected in project.

That would require custom development. With that said, it's probably not a
good idea to drive resource availability for project work this way.Think
about the ramifications of people being able to block themselves from
project work by simply scheduling meetings.

I fully agree with Garys post. having said this, there is a 3rd party
product that does almost what you are after. Check out this one:
