Automated word count

Hi,

I am writing academic reports that require a reliable word count. In other
words not one that counts everything, including refrences, appedix etc. I
know there is a field NumWords that allows automatic counting of words but
that is for the whole document. Is there something similar for counting
words in a certain section, for example??

I hope you find an answer.

the only option that I am
aware of, is to simply block
the sentence or paragraph
with the mouse then see the
revised count.

but it is tedious.
