automatic addressing

How can I get Outlook to automatically fill in the TO:
address after entering about 3 characters of the name?
Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. What am I
doing wrong?

Autocompletion will only use addresses to which you've previously sent
messages, not the addresses in your Contacts Folder.
