Automatic conversion of characters in url of hyperlink in word doc

C

cawilcox

The following url is entered when adding a hyperlink on text in a word
doc:

https://mycompass.xxxxxxx-xxxxxx.co...ass&l1=At a Glance&l2=Compensation & Benefits

(note: replaced the name of the company in url with x's for
confidentiality purposes)

But when you do a cntl-click on the hyperlink after it is added, the
link does not work because Word has automatically replaced the "%26"
near the end of the url with an "&"

The url now reads:
https://mycompass.xxxxxxx-xxxxxx.co...ss&l1=At a Glance&l2=Compensation %& Benefits

Does this have anything to do with AutoCorrect Options or is the length
of the url an issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
