Automatic Conversion of ppt to pdf

I am using 2003 ppt. Whenever I open a ppt file it is automatically
converted to pdf. How can I stop this. If I wanted to convert pdf then I I
wnat to do it manually.

Check in your Powerpoint Save options -- it sounds like you have the default
file format set to PDF rather than PPT... Although I'm not sure how because
PDF isn't normally one of the default choices. Go to Tools> Options, click
the Save tab & set the "Save PowerPoint files as:" appropriately.

BTW: You've posted to the newsgroup for Mac PPT. No problem, but if that
