I am writing a series of reports that have many figures and tables, and have
used automatic captions and cross-references. When I open, read, and edit
the MS Word document, it looks fine. However, if I try to either Print it or
to "Print Preview" it, Word inserts a page break immediately in front of
almost every cross-reference. The only fix I can find so far is to manually
type in the cross-references and abandon using the automated
cross-references. Is there any other solution? This problem occurs even
with relatively small documents (~20 pages, 0.3 MB).
