Automatic Discovery

There is a way to have a client installation of Outlook automatically
discover the exchange server and mailbox without having to supply this
information manually.....almost as if it uses the authenticated logged on
user. I just don't know how and can't get a hold of the person I know who
does. Anyone else know anything about this?
