Hi,
I am writing my thesis and have 150 pages of text in which
I have to insert 50 figures. I already know how to
automatically number the figure caption. My question is if
it is possible to also automatically number and establish a
link between the reference to the figure that I insert in
the text and the figure caption.
For example:
The high concentration of genes (Figure 3) is due to .....
and at the end of the paragraph comes Figure 3.
Now suppose that I insert another figure above, the caption
of the figure will automatically change to Figure 4, but my
reference to it in the text stays as Figure 3.
Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
