When pasting certain numbers into and Excel Spreadsheet
they are reformatted to a date format (ie 12-2172 becomes
Dec-72). We have other issues where it will convert to
scientific and even cases where it has reformatted to,
what looks like Hebrew. When we try to reformat this to
either text or general it will reformat to to Boolean
format of the date (ie 12-2172 reformats to Dec-72 and
that reformats to 99683).
As we are pasting hugh amounts of records (20 - 40,000)it
is a huge problem, firstly to find the offending fields
and then to convert them back to their original state.
The question is, is there any way to turn off this
automatic formatting so that Excel does not convert in the
first place.
In advance
thanks
