Automatic ID field when creating table

I just started using Access 2007 but have been using Access for years. I
noticed that every time I create a blank database Access automatically
creates a table with an autonumber field called ID. I looked through the
Access options and I can't find a way to turn this off. Is there a way to get
it to stop trying to create a table for me automatically, or at least stop
creating the ID field?
