Automatic insertion of cell address

Dear all,
I am quite new with Excel, so maybe this is easy - but I didn't find a
reply when searching through the groups.
I am writing text (only text) in a very long table sheet. After some
hours of work, looking thorough my texts, I find that Excel has
inserted at different places cell references. For example: The text
originally entered was "This is my text", and I find: "This is my
tF52F43ext." I remove it, but it happens again and again at different
places.
I know that clicking into a cell after typing "=" can insert such a
reference, but there is no "=" at all in the cell, even less left of
the cell references inserted. Does someone have an explanation for me,
and can you tell me how to prevent this?
Thanks,
Winfried
