Automatic Labelling, NOT just colour

I know I can automatic colour my appointments according to certain
label colours using Automatic Formatting. However, that doesn't
actually change the appointment's label to a certain label and only
changes the colour display in the calendar.

For example, when I enter birthday details on my contact card in
Outlook, it automatically creates an appointment in the calender. Right
now it defaultly labels that birthday appointment as "None". But I want
to make that label "Birthday" automatically and not just have the
colour displayed on calendar as the birthday colour.

I think you want to Edit the Label names. Right click an existing
appointment | Labels | Edit Labels. Now you can make red = birthday for
example. I hope that is what you wanted.

Actually, to clarify, I know how to modify the label names, etc... What
I want is to change the default settings of Outlook's feature for
adding a birthday to the calendar when I input a birthday for a contact
on the contact screen.

i.e.
I insert a new contact called "Mike" and in the details tab, I set his
birthday to be Jan. 1, 1990. Now at this time, Outlook will create
calendar events that say "Mike's Birthday" on Jan. 1. However, the
label of these 'birthdays' default to none. What I want to is to make
the label default to 'birthdays', which I have already renamed as one
of the labels.

Try posting that specific question then. I don't know how to do that.
It'll have to be done programmatically if it's possible.

macro, can someone point me int he direction of making one?
