automatic links

I have copied a file to re-use for another purpose. I made
my changes, but now it has an automatic link from the
original file. I have looked all over to try to find the
cell that contains the link so that I can remove it, but
can't find it. Is there any easy way to locate the cell
that has the automatic link to the other file?

1) Under Edit, Links, you can get the path of the linked
file. Use all or part of this string, and do an Edit,
Find. This will have to be done on all sheets on the
workbook.

2) Another place to look is in the defined names. Go to
Insert, Name, Define and scroll down any names and see
where they point. Again check for each sheet an there can
be generic names, and sheet specific names.

3) If there are any graphs on the sheet, have a look at
the data source. Sometimes graph data will remain
pointing to another file.
