Automatic macro security

Hi,

I developed a word template in word 2002 which contains vba code. Everytime
when user opens it word asks for "disable or enable", if user doesn't know
and disables it, the template is not working. How can I enable this marco in
my code without user interaction.

Thanks,
Sarah

You can't change macro settings on a computer using a macro unless the
macro, itself, is enabled by those settings. If you could, you would have
succeeded in writing a macro virus that bypasses macro security. But you can
have the user store the template in the user or workgroup templates folders.
These folders are usually designated as trusted sources and macros in
templates stored there will run despite macro security.

Charles,
Thank you for your quick response. Actually I saved my template in workgroup
folders on network drive. How could I have word to trust these resources?
I'm new, please help.

This is a macro security setting under Tools > Macros > Security > Trusted
Publishers (tab).
Check "Trust all installed add-ins and templates."
