Automatic Numbering

One user out of 50 using same application gets the "Word has encountered an
error" problem only when using automatic numbering. I have tried starting
Word in Safe Mode and it does not fix the problem.

Which version of Word is this? If it's Word 2003, after exiting Word, try
deleting the List Gallery Presets key in the registry. In Word 2007, you can
try deleting the ListGal.dat file in the user profile.
