Automatic Outlook calender event from Access?

I have an access database listing details of land currently for sale
throughout a region. The object for the database is to monitor land sale
values in the market with a view to tracking these sales values in order top
build up a picture of local trends etc. In this dbase is a ‘closing date’
field which indicates the date of final offers on the land or property. Is
there a way in which I could ‘Bring Forward’ the closing date so that outlook
reminds me that the purchase period is over? I could simply open the
calendar option and insert an Event with a reminder but can this be automated
from Access?
