automatic page breaks in tables

O

officemom

I am creating a table and need to have page breaks inserted automatically.
Currently the document looks like one page and it is probalbe 16 pages long.
How do I do this?

Try going to the top of the table on the first page, place your cursor in
the Header row (top row), click "Tables", "Heading Rows Repeat". Will this
work for you?

What view are you in? If Normal view, you should see the page breaks as a
dotted line. If Print Layout view, you should see individual pages unless
you have inadvertently gotten the table wrapped, in which case it can't
exceed one page (except in special circumstances in Word 2002 and 2003).
Bill's tip will help you get the heading row to repeat on subsequent pages,
but you won't see that in Normal view.
