Hi,

MacOSX does not allow programs to begin execution upon insertion of a CD or
DVD due to security reasons. In OS 9 and earlier this could be done but
Apple intentionally disabled this feature for very good reasons.

A solution is to use PowerPoint's Save As PowerPoint Movie feature from
PowerPoint's file menu.

Use Roxio Toast to create a DVD and tell toast to automatically launch the
movie file.

That way your presentation will play automatically when the disk is inserted
into a drive.

Does anyone know how I can do this on a Macintosh running OSX 10.3.2?

How to do it----
Tools:1. PPT2DVD free trial from
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/index.php?sid=4
2. a dvd burner

Steps:
1. install PPT2DVD on your computer
2. lanch PPT2DVD
3. import your PowerPoint presentation in PPT2DVD
4. select the needed configurations for your presentation

NOTE: pay attention to these features because they affect the final
playing results:
---norm: NTSC PAL
---video aspect: 1:1 4:3 16:9
5. convert your presentation to a video file
6. burn the converted presentation file to a dvd with a dvd burner.

Some important things, make sure the dvd and the dvd player are
compatible.

About the animation and music
This program supports the conversion of most transitions, text
animations, graphics animations in PowerPoint Music can also be well
preserved in sync with the slides.
For butter conversion results, it is recommended to add the music after
conversion with the" add background music " fearure in the program.

Good luck

Hi,

PPT2DVD ($99.95 US) requires Microsoft Windows.

My suggestion requires Roxio Toast ($79.95 US) and can be done completely on
a Mac. Roxio Toast is a great program. The installer comes with a DIVX
player and will be a major asset for any Mac user. It's *a lot* more
versatile than PPT2DVD IMHO.
