automatic progress value

In a table , how can have in a field automatic progress value ( like
autonumber) until i need to change it and then restart numering ? es
1,2,3...25 in automatic new record when i type 1 restart
1,2,3....38,1,2,3...89,1,2,3...26,1,2,3...
