Automatic Project Updates Via Timesheet submission

Hi, I'm new to Project Server 2007 and this is my question:

Is there a way to set the project plans to automatically update progress
once timesheets are approved? Right now it appears that the user has to
update its task(s) progress, and send to the PM for approval before the
project progress is updated.

thanks.

Hey JMW

You are correct in what you are saying , the only other way would be
for the users to submit their timesheets, get it approved and then use
the "import timesheet" functionality to update the tasks progress.
Reason being tasks updates and timesheets are now 2 seperate items due
to some orgz just wanting to report "Non Project related time"

No other way of automating it though

Hope it helps
