Automatic Search Text in Images?

Howdy again, Folks--
I just spent hours doing screen shots of data in OneNote. It wasn't until
after I had finished that I wondered if the "make text searchable" is
automatic when you pull in images of data.
Please don't tell me I have to go through hundreds of image boxes and do it
one by one and tell it to make the text searchable. Please! It IS
automatic, isn't it??????

It should be automatic.

Check Tools / Options / Other. Ensure that you have not checked
Disable Text Recognition in Pictures.

I feel like a dunce. It was like being "trapped" on an escalator during a
power failure. All I had to do was walk down the steps. By comparison all I
had to do was search for a recently added word. All of them were found.
Thanks, you're a jewel for answering questions.

FYI: I use the "Make text Searchable" for times when I know I will need to
search for something in the image very soon after inserting it. Otherwise,
it can take a (usually short) bit for the image to get totally recognized
for searching.
