I would like my presentation to do three things:
1) Automatically play a movie
2) Have the ability to pause the movie
3) When the movie ends, automatically move onto the next slide
To get item 3 to work I set the slide transition to change automatically
after zero seconds. The movie plays, and the slide progresses when it
finishes as expected.
The problem comes if you choose to pause the movie. If you wait long enough,
the slide will transition by itself with the movie still paused. Or if you
pause say for 5 seconds, then continue with the movie, the end of it gets
truncated 5 seconds before finishing because the slide transitions.
It appears that the slide transition timing is independent of the status of
the movie timing. Any way round this?
