Automatic Tables of Contents

How can I keep the table of contents on its own page and
have the subsequent text start on the following page, even
after updating fields? I have been setting a page break
immediately following the table of contents. However when
the fields are updated, my page break is automatically
deleted. The same thing happens if I set up a section
break.

Hello,

Try putting your section break at the beginning of the
next section, instead of at the end of the TOC section.
This will locate the section break after the paragraph
mark, and should keep it from disappearing when you
refresh the TOC.

Cordially,

Bob Sullivan
